Various politicians and business
owners have said that an employer
should be able to:
- Open and read employee e-mails
- Pay only for employer-approved
medical treatments
- Strip search employees
- Demand employee drug testing
- Check for sexual activity
of female employees
- Deny employee use of contraceptives
- Restrict certain foods in lunch boxes
- Deny employee use of drugs
including alcohol and tobacco
- Prohibit certain dress codes,
e.g., wearing religious (or non-religious) symbols
or slogans
- Advise employees how to vote
if they want to keep their jobs
... and they call it "freedom" and "liberty."
