simply could not take the
heat of newspapers reporting
to the public about his
administration.
Lepage issued orders that
state employees must answer
only "No comment" when asked
anything by someone from a
newspaper, even the time of day.
Thus, the Governor eliminated
freedom of the press for state
government activities.
