$65 Million in negative ads against House Speaker Nancy Pilosi
Vice President Biden with Larry King on CNN after the 2010 mid-term elections:
Saying it's understandable Pelosi's image was tarnished by $65 million in negative campaign ads, Vice President Joe Biden described the California Democrat as a "great leader" and "the most effective person in generating results in the House."
"She's a very, very effective and competent person," said Biden. "She gets things done.... This one tough, smart lady."
A tough player on the opposing team is almost always hated, especially each time they score in the game.
