Republican Herman Cain claimed,*
"Production drives the economy,
not spending."
But it was not failed production that caused
Mr.Cain to close hundreds of Godfather Pizza
outlets when he was their CEO. It was
lack of demand, a.k.a. customer spending.
Like most "supply-side economy" Republicans,
Cain either does not understand (or chooses
not to) that it is consumer demand that fuels
the free market and drives the economy.
