Political Factoid
Americans have the "freedom of choice"
for so many things,
... but once they make a choice,
they typically lose some of that
freedom
... and have to live with the
choice(s) they made.
- Select a cell phone carrier
(and be stuck with a multi-year contract)
- Select a bank
(lot of effort to subsequently change direct deposits,
automatic payments, safe deposit box, etc.)
- Buy a house
(with mortgage, predefined school and utility districts,
limits on changing jobs, etc.)
- Select an insurance company for one policy
(with discount bundled policies,
discounts for years without a claim, etc.)
- Select a body tatoo
- Get married
- Drive a car under the influence
We were talking "choices," remember!
