Political Factoid
Tree farmers and other forest owners are
required to maintain a two-hundred-foot
forest greenbelt.
That is, they cannot cut or harvest trees
from within 200-feet of a river, stream, or
other wetland area.
Developers, on the other hand, are free
to buy the land from the forest owner,
and clearcut up to within 30-feet of the
"protected" wetland.
Such is the power of asphalt and concrete
(a.k.a. big money and greed.)
