My telephone utility got
bought out by a bunch of
greedy financial opportunists*
who started steadily raising
rates as they let the service
deteriorate.
I had for years been on the
national do-not-call list and
had my number blocked as
non-listed.
The new utility owners
saw "an opportunity" and
arranged to have my number
removed from the do-not-call
list as they marketed my
number to anyone who would
pay them.
