Political Factoid
One would think ....
- One would think that
the quest for power in
the name and in the
spirit of one (Jesus)
who rejected power
over others
-- one who rejected
seeking status, or
possessions, or position.
-- one who spoke from
the prospective of the
last, least, lost,
and left out --
- One would think that
a Christ like political
movement would so
nakedly assert itself
through aggressive acts
such as creating divisions
between us and them,
or creating alliances
with the wealthiest
of society, or the
scapegoating of
immigrants, and the
last and the least
and the lost and the
left out --
- One would think that
Christ-like justification
of continual shaming
of one's enemy, and
continual bullying of
others, of affirming
lies and distortions
and deceptions --
- One would think that
Christians would
oppose this.
-- But that is not
the case today.
