Political Factoid
Some people across American think
President Obama should have
vetoed the 2011 debt-limit ransom
bill, and simply said,
"The Republicans have been
asking and asking to go
over the edge. Let them." *
|
- The House had already adjourned and
left town.
- The bill created zero jobs and will
actually destroy 323,000 jobs.
- The stock market had already indicated
its displeasure with the deal.
- The deal guaranteed political and
business uncertainty for at least
another year and a half.
- The Republicans had tipped their
hand for their next rounds of ransoms
and ultimatums.
- McConnell and Boehner had
promised they would appoint only
"no compromise; no increased
revenue" members to the 12-person
super-committee.
