Political Factoid
In the end, the Republicans
could not deny
- that what President Donald
Trump had done was an
impeachable offence,
- that he had committed
crimes against the
Republic,
- that his actions had led
to damage to government
offices, to the beating
of police officers, to
the death of six people
. . . they just tried
to argue that they
did not want to convict
the person they had so
blindly and so loudly
trusted and followed.
