Political Factoid

Most people researching
their family history fail
to realize that all of the
handwriting on each
completed census sheet
is the same, i.e., the data
is what the census taker
thought he or she heard
(not necessarily what
was said),
. . .  and thus name
spelling errors abound,
leading to endless
incorrect assumptions
by researchers.
