Political Factoid
Republicans like Donald
Trump don't understand
(or don't want to understand)
the so-called "hard decisions"
in the business world:
- Firing people to reduce
costs, reduce debt, and
ensure profits and bonuses.
- Abandoning markets that
are unprofitable.
- Eliminating any expense
that does not traceably
contribute to the bottom
line.
- Maximizing the money flow
to the wealthiest players,
i.e., owners and executives.
. . . simply do not apply
to the decisions which
elected politicians are
suppose to make in the
world of government:
- Disasters are not profitable.
- Courts are not profitable.
- Citizens cannot be fired and
forgotten (albeit some politicians try).
- Regions cannot be abandoned like
unprofitable markets (else all
red states should be jettisoned).
