Utah will give its 100,000
undocumented immigrants
work permits if they:
- can speak English
- pay taxes
- pass a background check.
Meanwhile, properly documented
immigrants can get work permits
without being able to speak English,
without paying taxes, and
without being able to pass a
background check.
(Likewise for natural born
citizens living in Utah.)
