Political Factoid

Why does the U.S. continually
pay for "unlimited war" but
not for "Medicare-for-all?"
Because most wealthy,
multi-national corporations
benefit from military
spending but not from
Medicare.
  • The U.S. military protects
    foreign assets and other
    interests of corportions.*

  • Medicare is paid for by
    payroll Medicare taxes.

  • Corporations do not go
    to medical doctors or
    to the hospital.

  • There are no taxes to
    specifically pay for
    military or war costs.*
* Corporations hire lobbyists and
fund huge political contributions,
whereas medicare beneficiaries
do not.
