Political Factoid
There was an ancient
African tribe with an
elegant numbering system.
It was all they needed
in their daily lives.
One day a stranger
came into their village
to learn their language
and ways.
They told him tribal
stories about the
many stars in the
sky and about
catching many fish.
The stranger translated
their words into "catching
as many fish as there
are stars in the sky."
And so began the religious teachings
that perpetuate their history today.
